Senior z/VSE Mainframe Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer - VSE.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for installation, testing, and implementation of z/VSE operating systems and software
• Monitor and tune systems software while mentoring team members
• Facilitate software releases/upgrades and collaborate with various departments and clients

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mainframe systems programming
• Fluency in VSE JCL and knowledge of ISV and IBM z/VSE software installation and administration
• Experience with IBM Z hardware and general networking concepts
• Familiarity with application environments including RPG, COBOL, Assembler, and REXX
• Working knowledge of z/VM including CP and CMS
