Job Summary
Supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time remote Service Designer will collaborate with stakeholders to map complex systems and processes, creating visual artifacts that enhance Veteran-facing services.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with VA stakeholders to document experiences and create service blueprints and journey maps
- Implement mixed-method discovery approaches to uncover insights about system interactions and user experiences
- Lead the design and iteration of service design artifacts to validate assumptions and identify improvement opportunities
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in research, UX design, and/or service design with complex projects
- Strong organizational skills to manage high-profile projects in dynamic environments
- Experience working in cross-functional teams using agile methodologies
- Ability to visualize and express complex ideas clearly and succinctly
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies in research and design processes
