Service Mesh Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Service Mesh Engineer specializing in Istio and Linkerd, who will design, deploy, and manage service mesh platforms to ensure secure and reliable service-to-service communication across Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate service mesh platforms primarily using Istio and Linkerd in multi-cluster Kubernetes environments
• Implement mTLS, traffic management policies, and observability for mesh traffic
• Collaborate with teams on mesh policy, incident response, and troubleshoot complex networking issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Five or more years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, or networking roles
• Hands-on experience operating Istio or Linkerd in production
• Strong understanding of Envoy proxy internals and Kubernetes networking
• Proficiency in Go or Python for tooling and automation
