Services Estimating Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing a team of service estimators, the full-time Services Estimating Manager will develop accurate cost estimates for service-based projects while ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and profitability goals in a home-based setting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of service estimators, providing technical guidance and performance coaching
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of estimates, proposals, and pre-sale documentation to meet project deadlines
• Review and approve team estimates for accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with margin targets

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating or proposal development, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
• Strong knowledge of service operations, including labor planning and material costing
• Proficiency with estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel (cost models, pivot tables)
• Familiarity with ERP systems and CRM platforms preferred
