Settlement Mitigation Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-driven and empathetic, the remote Settlement Mitigation Specialist will engage with owners facing financial hardship to negotiate repayment plans and settlements while minimizing company loss and supporting owners through challenging situations.

Key responsibilities

• Engage owners with past-due accounts to assess their financial situations and identify resolution options
• Negotiate settlements, payment plans, and hardship alternatives within established guidelines
• Prepare and send settlement documentation, track execution, and maintain accurate records across systems

Required qualifications

• Experience in debt negotiation, hardship resolution, or financial settlement operations
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to build rapport
• Ability to analyze borrower financial circumstances and recommend realistic options
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with relevant tools is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong advantage
