Shopify E-Commerce Architect

Job Summary

Owning the technical architecture and platform design for the Shopify Plus ecosystem, the full-time remote Shopify E-Commerce Architect will define integration strategies, establish performance and security standards, and lead the evolution of composable commerce to enhance the bridal shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end Shopify Plus architecture, including themes, apps, and integrations with enterprise systems
• Design scalable and secure integrations between Shopify and various enterprise platforms, ensuring optimal data flows
• Define performance, security, and accessibility standards while providing technical oversight to development teams

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in designing and supporting large-scale eCommerce platforms
• 5+ years of experience architecting solutions on Shopify or Shopify Plus
• Hands-on expertise with Shopify Storefront API, Admin API, and GraphQL
• Proven experience with composable or headless commerce using frameworks like Hydrogen or Next.js
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization and security best practices for eCommerce
