Shopify E-Commerce Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a fractional Shopify E-Commerce Specialist for a six-month contract, the role involves hands-on technical ownership of a customized Shopify platform, focusing on theme development, troubleshooting, and promotional mechanics, all while working remotely in the Los Angeles area.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and improve site functionality within a custom Shopify theme, including Liquid, JS, and CSS
• Diagnose and resolve product display and metafield issues while maintaining documentation for future reference
• Collaborate with brand and digital leadership to prioritize technical tasks and ensure timely delivery of promotional setups

Required qualifications:

• Deep expertise in Shopify Liquid theme development and complex, customized themes
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, metafields, and the Shopify Plus feature set
• 5+ years of hands-on technical e-commerce execution experience
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced DTC environment
• Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
