Short-Term Disability Team Lead

Job Summary

To lead a team of claims examiners, the full-time salaried Short-Term Disability Team Lead will supervise the processing of claims, ensure quality and productivity, and support collaboration with internal departments in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervises the processing of Short-Term Disability claims to ensure timely adjudication
• Ensures achievement of customer service and production objectives set by the company
• Conducts routine file reviews and provides coaching to enhance examiners' skills

Required qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 4 years of group disability claims experience
• Prior experience in coaching and mentoring teammates
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
