Job Summary
To support the transformation of long-form content into engaging short videos, the part-time Shorts Video Editor will create captivating vertical Shorts from Spike episodes, utilizing AI tools and a flexible remote schedule while being compensated per delivered short.
Key responsibilities
- Cut long episodes into engaging Shorts by identifying key moments and editing for the vertical format
- Incorporate pacing, hooks, captions, sound effects, and music to enhance viewer retention
- Deliver content consistently while adhering to quality guidelines and incorporating feedback from the Team Lead
Required qualifications
- Video editing experience with a portfolio showcasing Shorts, TikToks, or Reels
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro
- Hands-on experience or eagerness to learn AI video tools for efficiency
- Understanding of short-form content pacing and viewer engagement strategies
- Fluent in spoken and written English
