Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the health and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS, using monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets, using data to inform reliability decisions
• Optimize application and database performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or related roles managing infrastructure
• Deep experience with Heroku and AWS
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
• Strong coding skills, particularly in Ruby on Rails, with the ability to diagnose and fix performance issues
