Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Site Reliability Engineer, this full-time position involves applying software engineering principles to enhance the reliability and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS, while collaborating with the engineering team to build automated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve CI/CD pipelines and implement security best practices

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles
• Deep experience managing applications on Heroku and AWS
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Strong coding skills with experience in Ruby on Rails and web application performance optimization
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like New Relic or Sentry
