Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Site Reliability Engineer will manage the health and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS, optimize application performance, and enhance developer experience through improved CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities
  • Share responsibility for the reliability and performance of production services, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets, using data to inform reliability decisions
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize application and database performance, refactoring code and infrastructure as needed
Required qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles managing infrastructure
  • Deep experience with Heroku and AWS applications
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically with Terraform
  • Hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
  • Strong coding skills, with experience in diagnosing and fixing performance issues in a Ruby on Rails environment
