Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing product team, the full-time remote Site Reliability Engineer will enhance platform reliability and performance by building automated solutions and collaborating with engineers to optimize application performance.

Key responsibilities

• Share responsibility for the health and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS, proactively identifying and resolving issues
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets, using data to drive reliability decisions
• Collaborate with the backend team to refactor code and improve system performance, while enhancing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management

Required qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles managing infrastructure
• Deep experience with Heroku and AWS applications
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of web application performance, particularly in a Ruby on Rails environment
