Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Site Reliability Engineer will collaborate with the IST/System Engineering Team to generate monitoring recommendations and enhance system reliability for VA enterprise applications through detailed analysis and incident resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize modern system monitoring tools to improve reliability and service quality for veterans
- Collaborate with system and application owners to diagnose outages and recommend changes for increased stability
- Conduct enterprise-level triage and incident analysis to support improvements in the VA's infrastructure
Required qualifications
- Deep expertise (3+ years) in troubleshooting tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or SolarWinds
- Extensive experience in technology areas including Network, Windows, Unix/Linux, or AWS/Azure Cloud
- 8+ years of experience with IT system operability, reliability, and application performance
- 8+ years of experience deploying and troubleshooting complex applications at an enterprise scale
- HS diploma or GED with 20+ years of relevant experience or MA/MS degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience
