Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and implementing solutions to enhance reliability, the full-time Site Reliability Engineer will work remotely from BC in the Pacific time zone, focusing on maintaining production infrastructure, automating deployments, and collaborating with engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability of critical products and services by meeting SRE objectives
• Instantiate and maintain production infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools
• Automate deployments and monitoring of services while participating in team on-call rotation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field preferred, or 2+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in building and maintaining internet-facing production environments
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
• Knowledge of Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
• Experience with monitoring tools and alerting systems like Prometheus or Grafana
