Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Site Reliability Engineer will manage the health and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS, optimize application performance, and collaborate with engineering teams to build automated solutions that enhance system reliability and developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Share responsibility for monitoring and resolving issues in production services
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and optimize application and database performance
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline improvements and maintain infrastructure using Terraform

Required qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles
• Deep experience managing applications on Heroku and AWS
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions
• Strong coding skills and experience diagnosing performance issues in a Ruby on Rails environment
