Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Site Reliability Engineer, the successful candidate will manage the health and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS, optimize application performance, and enhance developer experience through CI/CD improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Share responsibility for the health and performance of production services, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets for key services to drive reliability work
- Collaborate with the backend team to refactor code, optimize performance, and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
Required qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related field managing infrastructure
- Deep experience with applications on Heroku and AWS
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically with Terraform
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
- Strong coding skills with experience in Ruby on Rails, focusing on performance optimization
