Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Site Reliability Engineer will manage large-scale network observability systems hosted in Azure, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and optimal performance for telemetry platforms that support global network operations.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and administer Linux and Windows VMs in Azure to maintain strict security and configuration standards
- Maintain enterprise network observability platforms, including syslog-ng and trapd, through patching and capacity planning
- Automate operational tasks and CI/CD pipelines using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Linux Systems Administration and IT infrastructure operations
- 3+ years of enterprise experience with Network Engineering and protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, gNMI)
- Hands-on expertise with Syslog-NG platform administration and Azure cloud environments
- Proven ability to write automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
