Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Datastores team, the full-time Site Reliability Engineer will extend the self-service datastore platform, implement observability and disaster recovery, and convert recurring support requests into reusable features, all while working remotely from British Columbia.
Key responsibilities
- Extend the self-service datastore platform provisioning automation and guardrails for product engineering teams
- Implement observability, alerting, and backup/disaster recovery as built-in defaults with every datastore
- Transform recurring reliability issues and scaling questions into platform features or AI tooling
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar infrastructure-focused role
- Proven track record managing or building tooling to support production infrastructure in AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience delivering working software to production, including tooling and platform services
- Strong fluency with AI coding tools like Claude
- Unique talents and transferable skills that contribute to the role
