Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing product team, the full-time remote Site Reliability Engineer will manage the health and performance of production services on Heroku and AWS, optimizing application performance and collaborating on CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Share responsibility for the health and performance of production services, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets, using data to inform reliability decisions
- Collaborate with the backend team to refactor code, optimize performance, and enhance the developer experience
Required qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or related roles managing infrastructure
- Deep experience with applications on Heroku and AWS
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions
- Strong coding skills, particularly in diagnosing and fixing issues in a Ruby on Rails environment
