Site Reliability Engineer (USC)

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Site Reliability Engineer (USC), the individual will manage the reliability, scalability, and operability of shared data platforms, focusing on large-scale distributed systems and automation frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end reliability and operational standards of mission-critical data platforms
• Design and implement scaling strategies and operational best practices for distributed systems
• Lead incident management and prevention efforts, focusing on eliminating failure modes

Required qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Security Clearance
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in operating large-scale distributed platforms
• Deep experience with Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, and Kafka
• Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible and Terraform
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
