Sleep Medicine Physician (MA Licensed)
Job Summary
To support the Veteran community, a full-time Sleep Medicine Physician (MA Licensed) will manage comprehensive sleep disorders and provide direct patient care remotely, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and occasional weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive sleep disorders and related medical conditions, performing direct patient care as requested by the VHA
- Evaluate patients, order appropriate testing, and facilitate order completion while documenting all interactions in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Communicate effectively with Veteran's providers regarding sleep testing, follow-up, and management to ensure coordinated care
Required qualifications
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state or territory
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties
