Small Commercial Underwriting Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the underwriting functions in a full-time, non-exempt capacity, the Small Commercial Underwriting Technician will manage underwriting transactions, prepare key data, and collaborate with assigned Underwriters to ensure compliance and service standards in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily support to Underwriting by managing transactions, service standards, and agency relationships
• Perform account triage, risk acceptability analysis, and file preparation under general supervision
• Build knowledge of underwriting systems and maintain relationships with agents, underwriters, and peers

Required qualifications

• Experience in underwriting support or related field
• Familiarity with underwriting systems and compliance rules
• Ability to analyze underwriting transactions of basic to moderate complexity
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple deliverables effectively
• Understanding of small commercial lines of business and coverages
