SOC Analyst

Job Summary

Contributing to the protection of client assets and information, the full-time remote SOC Analyst will monitor security events, analyze alerts using SIEM/XDR/EDR tools, and collaborate with the SOC team to respond to incidents and provide mitigation recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Utilizes SIEM/XDR/EDR tools to monitor alerts and security events of client networks and systems
• Identifies, analyzes, and responds to security incidents as they occur
• Collaborates with a team of analysts to address potential threats within a 24x7 SOC environment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field is preferred
• Basic knowledge of IP addresses, subnetting, and common ports and services
• Understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 basic packet structure
• Familiarity with HTTP methods (GET and POST) and DNS resolution
• Awareness of SSL/TLS and certificates, as well as common malware strategies
