SOC Analyst

Job Summary

Monitoring and responding to cybersecurity threats, the part-time SOC Analyst will investigate security alerts, analyze data from various security platforms, and support incident response efforts in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts and events
• Analyze security data from SIEM, EDR, and other security platforms to identify potential incidents
• Conduct threat hunting activities and perform malware analysis and digital evidence collection

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response methodologies
• Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools
• Understanding of common attack techniques and threat detection methodologies
