SOC Analyst

Job Summary

Focused on leading incident response efforts and threat hunting, the full-time SOC Analyst will work remotely to protect Protera Technologies and its customers through proactive security monitoring and mentorship of junior analysts.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate incident response investigations for the organization and its clients
• Perform detailed analysis of logs and alerts to identify true security incidents
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify emerging risks

Required qualifications:

• Extensive experience reviewing and analyzing log data from various network and security devices
• Proficient with information security tools for packet capture and communications analysis
• Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, including command-line operations
• Solid foundation in networking fundamentals, including deep knowledge of TCP/IP
• Willingness to work in shift rotations or on-call schedules as needed
