SOC Analyst Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SOC Analyst - Associate - part time, remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts to detect malicious activity from various security tools
• Follow documented incident response procedures while investigating and responding to security incidents
• Proactively identify and remediate threats in the environment using SIEM and EDR solutions

Required Qualifications

• Typically has a 2-year academic degree and familiarity with Information Security
• Demonstrates understanding of information technology tools and best practices
• Completes ongoing training through courses, self-study, or certifications
• Previous experience with security technologies such as SIEM and EDR
• Preferred certifications include CompTIA Network+ and Security+
