Social Media Copywriter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Social Media Copywriter will produce polished, on-brand social media copy for Future Caucus, focusing on amplifying video content and promoting the organization's initiatives, with an expected commitment of approximately 20 hours per week for a 6-month term.

Key responsibilities

• Write social media captions for video content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice
• Identify short clips from long-form videos for social media publication
• Draft posts promoting earned media coverage and contribute to the organization's newsletter as needed

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of professional copywriting experience, particularly in social media
• A strong portfolio showcasing versatility in writing across multiple organizational voices
• Demonstrated ability to produce clean, publication-ready copy with minimal editing
• Excellent command of AP style and familiarity with major style guides
• Working knowledge of U.S. politics at the federal and/or state level
