Job Summary

To support a growing online education platform, the contract Social Media Video Editor will edit engaging long-form YouTube and short-form TikTok videos, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into 5-20 minute YouTube videos and 1-3 minute TikTok videos
• Source or create copyright-safe visuals, music, and sound effects while following brand and style guidelines
• Collaborate with content producers to ensure final videos meet quality standards and project briefs

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of video editing experience, including social media and long-form content
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both short-form and long-form video editing
• Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Solid understanding of platform formatting, pacing, and audience engagement
• Knowledge of copyright-safe media sourcing and licensing practices
