Job Summary
To support consumer and regulatory research programs for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the remote Social Scientist will manage day-to-day research activities, contribute to the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support and implement social science research tasks of moderate to high technical complexity
- Conduct data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of research findings using established methodologies
- Collaborate with project leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality work products and smooth project execution
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting social science research, public health research, regulatory science, or related fields
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's degree preferred
- Specific experience supporting tobacco-related regulatory research
- Proficiency with statistical and qualitative analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo, or similar platforms)
- Active CITI Human Subjects Certification
