Software Asset Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Asset Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of Software Asset Management (SAM), including acquisition, deployment, utilization, renewal, and retirement
• Maintain accurate software asset records in SAM tools and analyze license entitlements against installations to ensure compliance
• Manage vendor relationships with major software providers and provide regular reporting on software spend and compliance posture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or Vendor Management
• Strong understanding of software licensing models and proficiency with SAM tools
• Experience managing enterprise licensing for major vendors such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, and Adobe
• ITIL or SAM certification is preferred
