Software Asset Manager

Job Summary

Owning the lifecycle management of software licenses, the full-time remote Software Asset and License Manager will ensure compliance, manage renewals, and coordinate procurement processes for a complex cloud platform supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Procures, manages, tracks, and renews software licenses while maintaining accurate records of license counts and associated costs
• Delivers monthly Software License Accounting reports and provides advance notifications for upcoming renewals and licensing risks
• Coordinates with government personnel and vendors to ensure seamless license lifecycle management and compliance with VA Technical Reference Model processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in software asset management, IT procurement, and license compliance
• Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) preferred
• Excellent experience managing enterprise software license portfolios and compliance reporting
• Above average knowledge of software tools for license management, such as ServiceNow or Flexera
