Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Developer to support the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance NOAA's scientific data systems through automation scripting, primarily in Python
Collaborate with developers and metadata specialists following Agile practices
Participate in all development phases, improving data granule processes for environmental data catalogs

Required Qualifications

BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field preferred
2 to 4 years of relevant experience as a software developer
Experience with APIs and protocols such as REST
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
Familiarity with Unix or Linux platforms and version control systems
