Job Summary

To support a key enrollment program for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time remote Software Developer will design, code, and modify software applications based on client specifications while collaborating with cross-functional teams and troubleshooting applications to optimize performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications in an Agile environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development
• Experience with modern development frameworks and tools including MUMPS, Java Server Pages, and Spring Framework
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
• Capable of passing a VA Public Trust investigation
