Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer will design, build, and maintain cloud-based applications and RESTful APIs for processing healthcare EDI transactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring data accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Build and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for transforming and serving healthcare records
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure reliable data delivery and support the deployment of back-end services on AWS

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and the ability to integrate APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with AWS services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
