Job Summary

To support Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time Software Developer will build, maintain, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to manage healthcare EDI records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and support an Angular-based dashboard front-end
• Write clean, testable code and perform unit and integration testing across back-end services and API layers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus in Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs for structured healthcare data
• Hands-on experience with Angular or another modern front-end framework
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
