Job Summary

To support Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time Software Developer will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application while designing and maintaining RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to serve and transform healthcare records while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews, ensuring best software engineering practices within an Agile framework

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies, particularly Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Working knowledge of cloud services, preferably AWS, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
