Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Software Developer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs that serve and transform healthcare records, ensuring integration with internal platforms
• Contribute to an Angular-based front-end by consuming APIs and ensuring accurate data presentation for users

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies, specifically Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and handling structured healthcare data
• Hands-on experience with Angular or another modern front-end framework
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
