Software Developer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Software Developer will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application that processes healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for serving EDI healthcare records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and contribute to an Angular-based dashboard front-end
• Write clean, testable code, perform unit and integration testing, and support deployment and monitoring of back-end services on AWS

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integrating APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
