Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions, design RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve structured healthcare data
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to define API contracts and ensure data accuracy across services

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus in Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and ability to integrate APIs into front-end components
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services and related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
