Job Summary

To support Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time remote Software Developer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design RESTful APIs, and integrate with internal platforms to ensure reliable healthcare data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, ensuring effective data retrieval and transformation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and support deployment and performance monitoring of back-end services

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
