Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions while collaborating on API development and ensuring data accuracy for clinical users.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application and RESTful APIs for EDI healthcare records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate back-end services and ensure reliable data delivery
• Write clean, testable code and participate in unit and integration testing while promoting best software engineering practices

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies such as Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Working knowledge of cloud services (AWS/Azure) and version control systems (Git/GitHub)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
