Job Summary

To support Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time Software Developer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design RESTful APIs using Java and/or NodeJS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs to retrieve and serve healthcare records while ensuring reliable data delivery
• Collaborate with back-end engineers and contribute to an Angular-based front-end, ensuring accurate data presentation

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies such as Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs, particularly in healthcare environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integrating APIs into front-end applications
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related tools for deployment and monitoring
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
