Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, design RESTful APIs, and integrate healthcare EDI transaction data while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve EDI healthcare records
• Collaborate with back-end engineers and perform unit and integration testing across services

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus in Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
