Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Software Developer will build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for healthcare data processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and contribute to an Angular-based dashboard front-end
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews while applying best software engineering practices within an Agile framework

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on back-end technologies such as Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and experience with API Gateway, Lambda, or related services
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
