Job Summary

Passionate about backend architecture, the remote Software Developer II will design and develop backend software for processing real-time weather data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend software processors for real-time weather data
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement processing solutions for consumer and enterprise products
• Investigate and resolve software defects and operational incidents affecting weather data processing systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing backend services
• Experience with Scala or Java and exposure to functional programming concepts
• Experience in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience with relational databases, including schema design and SQL
