Software Developer III

Job Summary

To support critical missions at Los Alamos National Lab, the remote Software Developer III will manage daily tasks for high-technology systems, provide expert guidance on engineering issues, and ensure system reliability while mentoring staff on OpenShift operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ongoing support of design, construction, and operational activities for complex high-technology systems
• Provide expert opinions and independent reviews to project teams, ensuring adherence to work standards and project goals
• Deploy and maintain containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShift, while troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues

Required qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Management
• At least seven years of applicable experience in a specialized technical field
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Strategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC) software
• Strong understanding of containerization and Kubernetes concepts
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation for DOE Q security clearance
