Software Developer in Test

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer in Test (SDET) will develop and execute test plans, conduct software testing, and document results while ensuring high-quality deliverables across complex software projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures to meet organizational standards
• Lead testing efforts for software and IT systems, ensuring proper operation and defect-free performance
• Document test results and communicate findings while supporting resolution of open issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
