Software Developer in Test

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer in Test (SDET) will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring high-quality deliverables through strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for software and IT systems
• Conduct tests and lead verification activities to ensure systems operate correctly and are free from defects
• Document and communicate test results, providing progress reports on problem resolution to management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, as well as CI/CD tools
