Software Developer in Test
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Software Developer in Test (SDET) will develop and execute test plans and cases, conduct software testing, and ensure high-quality deliverables using strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Conduct tests on software and IT systems, documenting and communicating test results while resolving open issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing procedures and provide technical solutions to complex problems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit)
